The government of Madagascar, in connection with the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in Europe, decided to temporarily close the country's borders to travelers from ten European countries.
The list of countries with an unfavorable epidemiological situation, according to Antananarivo, includes seven member states of the European Union - Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and France, as well as the United Kingdom, Ukraine and Russia.
"We don't want the coronavirus to return to Madagascar. All of these countries are experiencing the second wave of the pandemic. Changes to this list should be made taking into account the situation in the field of health, " Joël Randriamaranto, the minister of tourism of Madagascar, said.
