The press service of the Kronotsky Nature Reserve announced an urgent recruitment of volunteers. Volunteer helpers will have the opportunity to go on excursions and visit places that ordinary tourists do not have access to.
Three volunteers are required for the Ozerny cordon for the period from September 1 to October 6. Volunteers will be able to see bear fishing on Kuril Lake and admire the Ilyinsky volcano.
In addition, one volunteer is required for the Semyachik cordon from September 5 for two months. The cordon is located at the southern border of the reserve. Steller's eagles nest here, foxes live and large flocks of migratory birds rest here.
Requirements for volunteers include being over 18 years old, in good health and physical fitness. Much of the reserve is inaccessible, so if health problems arise, it may be difficult to quickly get to the city.
The message notes that due to urgency, as an exception, volunteers who have not completed the School of Conservationists may apply for the proposed vacancies.
Volunteers will have to get to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on their own.
