Acting Governor of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Solodov outlined the main directions for the development of the region during a meeting with the Minister of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kobylkin, who is currently in the Kamchatka Territory on a working visit.

In particular, the authorities of Kamchatka will focus on the development of tourism in specially protected natural areas. The sector is expected to create at least 10,000 jobs by 2025.

“Nature conservation is a priority in the development of Kamchatka. In the future, in the development strategy of the Kamchatka Territory, I will rely on sustainable green technologies for economic development. It will be fish, sustainable reproduction and non-invasive development of aquatic biological resources, the use of our logistics capabilities and, of course, tourism. I set myself the bar for creating 10 thousand jobs in this area by 2025. Tourism in specially protected areas will be a factor that we will focus on, our main competitive advantage,” said Vladimir Solodov.

“I am very pleased that you are defining such a movement trend in your future program. Here we have a very strong base of professionals who are engaged in wildlife management. I am absolutely convinced that we will implement all the plans that are outlined,” said Dmitry Kobylkin.
