A number of spectacular events will be held on August 7 in the city on the Neva as part of the program to celebrate the 350th anniversary of Peter I.
According to the city tourist portal Visit Petersburg, on Sunday the rivers and canals of St. Petersburg will become a platform for the Parade of riverboats.
“The Fontanka and Moika class motor ships decorated with flags will pass through the water area in the Central and Admiralteysky districts: from the Fontanka River, along the Neva to the Kryukov Canal and further along the Moika River to the Winter Canal. It will be possible to watch the ships and listen to a selection of good music from DJs on board from 12:00 to 14:00,” the portal notes.
In addition, two sailing regattas on the Neva near the beach of the Peter and Paul Fortress will take place on this day - "Peter's Water Area" and "Tourist Regatta".
“And at 19:00 on the beach of the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Jazz on the Water concert will begin with the participation of the best performers and bands of St. Petersburg,” Visit Petersburg informs. In the evening, at 22:00, the Water Ballet yacht show and hydrofly show with pyrotechnic effects will begin.
“It will be a skillful dance of six Farr 30 class sailboats and a spectacular performance of acrobatic athletes that can impress even the most sophisticated spectator,” the portal notes.
All these spectacular events are part of the festival “Capital of Water Tourism. Petrovskaya water area", which will continue the program of celebrating the 350th anniversary of Emperor Peter I and will become part of the events in honor of the Day of the Russian Navy.
