The Italian authorities will lift the mandatory quarantine for tourists and residents entering from the EU countries, the Schengen area, as well as the UK and Israel from May 16, as per media reports.
It will be enough for everyone arriving in this European country to test negative 48 hours before boarding.
In addition, reception centers for Covid monitoring stations will be installed at the airports of Venice and Naples. Such a system has already been introduced in Rome and Milan.
Earlier it was reported that Italy intends to introduce a system of electronic "green passports" (Digital Green Pass), which will be issued on the basis of vaccination certificates (vaccinations recognized in the EU), a certificate of recovery from covid, valid for six months, as well as a negative PCR test.
