The Healing Mud Festival with dances, races and a beauty contest among the dirtiest will be held in Zheleznovodsk on July 30-31.

“The resort region is famous throughout the country for the unique healing mud of Lake Tambukan. The festival will make this cosmetic product a cause for celebration on an unprecedented scale. During the days of the festival, a gray layer of dirt on faces, clothes and bodies becomes a kind of dress code for all its participants. Children will be especially happy, because they get the official right to get dirty as much as they like, ”the Tourist Information Center of the Stavropol Territory reports on its website.

Ferrum Square in Zheleznovodsk will become the central venue for the events.

The Iron Dirt program will not leave anyone indifferent.

“As part of the festival, guests and residents of the region will see mud wrestling, dancing, racing, body art, spa treatments and beauty contests among the dirtiest,” the Tourist Information Center of the region reports.
