Irish tourists will have an opportunity to visit over 100 tourist attractions for free on April 17 on the first national Tourism day. This initiative was launched by the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation with support from Fáilte Ireland.
To get a free entry you only need to register on Tourismday.ie, where you can now order tickets for free to visit the famous Cliffs of Moher, Malahide Castle, King John’s Castle, the GAA Museum at Croke Park, Spike Island, Guinness Storehouse, Westport House and many OPW sites, among other destinations.
Tourism is one of the largest industries in Ireland, which employs 260 thousand people, or 10% of the workforce. In 2019, the country was visited by almost 10 million foreign tourists, industry revenues amounted to 7.5 billion euros.
