Competitions at the Rosa Khutor resort are part of the Freeride World Tour Qualifier 3*. Since 2007, its stages have been held in the most beautiful mountains in the world. In addition to Russia, this year's Freeride World Tour Qualifier will be hosted by Austria, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Canada, Norway, Slovakia, USA, France, Switzerland and Japan. The main criterion for choosing a place is the presence of a difficult terrain for off-piste skiing and a sufficient number of places for descending on virgin snow, an abundance of fluffy snow and good weather, which provides equal conditions for all competitors. During the starts, the athlete independently chooses the line of descent along the slope. According to the approved methodology, the judges evaluate the complexity of the chosen trajectory, the style of passing, technicality, the clarity of tricks, the overall impression of the race.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
