Tourist arrivals in Greece reached 70% of the country's traffic level in 2019, which preceded the coronavirus pandemic, the Greek Ministry of Finance reported.

Initially, it was predicted that the attendance of foreign travelers in Greece would reach 45% of the level of 2019.

The Finance Ministry expects that the growth of tourism will have a positive impact on the Greek economy.

Greece, whose share of tourism in GDP is 20%, was the first among the member states of the European Union to open its borders to foreign tourists since April.
