Images of Russia’s reserves will appear on the Troika transport card

The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and the Moscow Metro have launched a limited edition of the Troika transport card depicting Russia's protected areas, naturerussia.travel reports.

The total circulation will be 50 thousand copies.

The first cards of the limited series show the Katunsky Reserve. For ease of perception, on the front side of the card there will be a QR code leading to the website of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia https://naturerussia.travel/, where all the ecotourism opportunities of the country's reserves and national parks are presented.

The Katunsky Reserve was formed on July 25, 1991. The reserve is located in the Ust-Koksa district of the Altai Republic. It is located in the highest mountainous part of Altai - on the Katunsky ridge. The area of ​​the reserve is 151 664 hectares. Mount Belukha (4,506 m), the highest point in Siberia, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, is adjacent to the reserve.
