Since February 7, Greece cancels the mandatory coronavirus test for holders of European vaccination certificates entering the country, the Greek Ministry of Health reported.

Until now, travelers had to have a negative coronavirus or PCR test taken no earlier than 72 hours before the trip, or an express analysis taken 24 hours before arrival.

This year, the summer tourist season in Greece will begin on March 1. The country's authorities expect to attract 4.5% more tourists than last year, including due to a record increase in the number of sea cruises.

The Greek authorities still recommend travelers to take an express antigen test two and four days after arrival in the country.
Although there is no longer a curfew in Greece, wearing two masks at once, one on top of the other (or FFP2 type masks), is mandatory in public places and on transport, where maintaining social distance is difficult.

The entrance to museums, cinemas and theaters is open upon presentation of a sanitary pass. The terraces of restaurants, bars and cafes are accessible without restrictions, but only vaccinated, immunized or tested visitors are allowed to stay inside.
All shops, casinos, fitness centers, recreation parks and spas are open as usual.

Tourism accounts for a quarter of Greece's GDP. In 2021, the revenue of the tourism industry exceeded 10 billion euros.
