From September 12 to 14, the 29th international forum-exhibition on tourism “OTDYKH Leisure” was held in the capital’s Expocenter.
This year's event participants included Russian regions, national tourism offices of foreign countries, travel agencies and operators, search and online booking systems, hotels, transfer and cruise companies, representatives of business and event tourism, MICE agencies, organizers of individual and signature tours .
The organizers of "OTDYKH Leisure" called the event the main tourism exhibition in Russia before the autumn-winter season. It has been held annually for 28 years.
The forum brought together more than 10 thousand industry professionals - from representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in the field of tourism to managers of large Russian and foreign companies, as well as persons responsible for the development of individual territories and tourist destinations.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
