Festival of indigenous peoples of Siberia will be held in the Tomsk region

The festival "Etudes of the North" will open in Parabel on August 6 at noon on the shore of Lake Oskin in the open-air museum of Selkup culture and life.

“Traditional competitions “Narymskaya fish soup” and “Beauty of the North”, tasting of fish dishes will be held. For the first time there will be a competition for the best farmstead of rural settlements "All yurts are visiting us."

For guests of the festival, a wide fair of arts and crafts "Man-made miracles" will work, competitions, a quest game, a team relay race "Selkup Skill" will be held, the official portal of the administration of the Tomsk region reports.

In addition, the national sports competitions of the northern peoples will unfold on the festive glade - cloud races, competitions for agility and strength.

Creative and national delegations and leading groups from the Tomsk region, regions of Siberia and the Far East, including from the republics of Altai, Tyva, Khakassia, Buryatia, the Kemerovo region, will come to participate in the concert program "Etudes of the North".

“In the evening, guests and participants at the festival site will gather a large “Bonfire of Friendship”; there will be a concert "Under the vaults of the starry sky" and an ethnic disco.

The next day after the holiday, on August 7, within the framework of the festival, the scientific and practical conference of the VIII "Narym Readings" will be held, the portal reports.

The festival "Etudes of the North" annually gathers about 5 thousand people from the Tomsk region and neighboring regions. It aims to unite people of different nationalities and develop the cultural heritage of the indigenous peoples of Siberia and their traditional crafts.
