Festival “Hedgehog and friends. 110 Years of Animation in Prizes and Awards” will be held at the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center in Moscow from July 13 to August 17. The first show of the program will be devoted to the work of the legend of Russian animation, Leonid Shvartsman.
During the festival, viewers will be able to get acquainted with the cartoons that have won awards at the largest animation competitions. In particular, the cartoons "Hedgehog in the Fog" and "Mitten" will be shown.
In addition to screenings, the program will include meetings with masters and animation experts: Yuri Norshtein, Igor Sokolov, Garry Bardin, Igorev Kovalev and Andrey Khrzhanovsky.
Boris Mashkovtsev, general director of the Soyuzmultfilm film studio, will present the first screening of Leonid Shvartsman's films.
Entrance to all events will be free with pre-registration.
