Europe takes measures to control the spread of coronavirus

As part of efforts to curb the spread of the new Covid-19 coronavirus, European authorities are taking action.

The Austrian authorities decided to close their ski resorts ahead of time. Lifts will stop working from March 15.

Hotels and recreation areas will also close on March 16. The authorities of the federal state of Tyrol report that guests will be evacuated.

The Spanish newspaper El Pais reported that Spanish ports will stop accepting ships until March 26.

The Norwegian authorities quarantined all arriving in the country until March 26, and Slovakia closed its borders to foreign travelers.

France, in turn, closed all educational institutions, and also urged its citizens to refrain from visiting public places and visits to representatives of the older generation.
