According to the Curonian Spit National Park on its website, from August 31 until the end of September, the Dancing Forest will be available only for visitors arriving by regular transport.
“The reason is the arrangement of an access road to the ecological trail and a parking lot. Parking of vehicles along the road is not provided, therefore, guests in cars and tourist groups are asked to temporarily refrain from visiting the eco-trail,” the message says.
The Dancing Forest is one of the most famous and popular eco-trails in the national park. More than a thousand people visit it daily.
As noted in the national park, last year, within the framework of the national project "Ecology", the decks were replaced there and their length was increased. In addition, there are no more steps on the route - the trail has become accessible for visitors with limited mobility.
“The need to equip a paved road for the access of vehicles, including tourist buses, is long overdue and dictated by the requirements of the time. For pedestrians arriving by regular transport, a separate path will be equipped from the bus stop to the entrance to the Dancing Forest,” the National Park said.
