Egyptian authorities said that the country will open for foreign tourists on July 1, it will also open all the airports and gradually resume flights, primarily with countries that will be ready to re-launch flights.
According to the Minister of Civil Aviation of the country, Mohammad Manar Enabah, this decision applies not only to resort areas, but also to Cairo and the airport of Borg El Arab near Alexandria. Tourists arriving in the country will need to provide a Covid-19 certificate. They will also be required to maintain a social distance in lines and on the board of aircrafts.
At the first stage of the restoration of the holiday season, vacationers can only settle in resort cities on the Red Sea coast, and the hotels will only be partially filled to minimize the risk of the coronavirus infection. Initially, hotels were allowed to fill their rooms only by 25% and later by 50%. Resorts in South Sinai will open, including Sharm el-Sheikh and Dahab, the Red Sea province with Marsa Alam and Hurghada as well as the Matruh province.
