Croatia's entry into the Schengen area has led not only to an increase in the tourist flow. Sex workers have flooded the country. Residents of resort towns began to complain to the police about suspicious Latin American women renting not only housing, but also everything else in order to attract customers.

According to the local press, the historical center of Dalmatia, the city of Zadar, has become a "paradise for prostitutes". Here, burning Brazilian, Colombian and Venezuelan "tourists" ousted their pale-faced predecessors from Eastern European countries from the market of sexual services. At the same time, exotic travelers, as a rule, have dubious documents. However, this does not bother some owners of rented apartments, because the priestesses of love pay regularly, filling the apartments even in low season.

The prostitutes themselves are happy: living in the private sector saves them from unnecessary attention from regulatory authorities. And the police only shrug off complaints from residents of neighboring apartments: it is very difficult to prove the illegal activity of "moths". Over the past year, only 9 cases of private brothels have been identified in Zadar. In addition to fines from 20 to 100 euros for prostitution, all participants in the prohibited business were ordered to leave not only Croatia, but also the territory of the Schengen area. But the Croatian police cannot track the execution of this order.
