To date, Croatia has surpassed all other EU member states in the number of tourist arrivals. It increased by 23% after the country on the Adriatic lifted most of the entry restrictions imposed on international travelers due to COVID-19.

On the contrary, Austria, according to the quarterly report of the European Tourism Commission, has suffered more than other EU states as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Strict sanitary and epidemiological measures introduced by the authorities of the Alpine Republic led to a landslide drop in the influx of foreign tourists. It has decreased by 97%.
