Mospriroda has launched an annual New Year creative contest to create alternative Christmas trees "Art-Yel". The work will be accepted at five sites of the environmental institution. Anyone over 7 years old can take part in the competition.
“You can bring alternative Christmas trees and Christmas tree decorations from recycled materials, natural materials, food products until December 29, 2022,” Mospriroda said on its website.
Entries will be judged in six categories - "The most environmentally friendly spruce" (an unusual use of ordinary things), "The most labor-intensive spruce" (with a huge number of details), "The most delicious spruce" (an edible craft or spruce made using food products: nuts , pasta, spices, etc.), “The most family spruce” (made by members of the whole family), “The most instructive spruce” (hand-made article, decorated according to the year 2023 announced in Russia - the Year of the teacher and mentor), “Symbol of the year - 2023 "(variants of Christmas toys).
The jury also reserves the right to add the nomination "Special Jury Prize".
The competition is held to popularize environmental protection activities in Moscow protected areas, develop eco-culture, and foster respect for nature.
