The Fontanka SUP Festival invites you to swim on the boards on August 6th. Carnival in 2022 will be held for the seventh time.

“The festival participants are waiting for a big holiday that brings together SUP fans, their families, tens of thousands of fans, spectators and city guests in the field of family recreation and sports,” the organizers say on the festival website.

The route of the carnival will pass under 30 bridges in the historical center of St. Petersburg.

“Wonderful views of the Engineering Castle, Anichkov Bridge, St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral, the Savior on Spilled Blood and many other pearls of our beautiful city will open along the way,” the organizers say.

"Start" and "Finish" are located on the banks of the Moika River near the Field of Mars. The grand opening of the festival will take place on the Moika near the walls of the Engineering Castle.

According to Rostourism in its telegram channel, Fontanka SUP is the world's largest carnival on the boards. Competitions for the best costume, the most beautiful design of the board, Miss SUP - 2022 and others will be raffled among the participants.

"Fontanka SUP" is held as part of the festival "Capital of water tourism. Petrovskaya water area", which will continue the program of celebrating the 350th anniversary of Emperor Peter I and will become part of the events in honor of the Day of the Russian Navy.

The Federal Tourism Agency also reported that on August 6, Kronstadt will also host the first international festival of speed in open water "Baltic Mile 2022".

“Spectators of the Baltic Mile 2022 will see demonstration performances on a wide variety of water equipment, a swim in joke vehicles, cable wakeboard competitions, and a colorful pyrotechnic show,” the ministry said in a statement.
