Children in Sochi will be taught to swim for free

Classes for a hundred first-graders will be organized in the pool of sports school No. 2. This will allow them to be held in any weather. The short-term program is designed for 16 hours, and will be conducted by coaches of the sports school. Registration for classes will start on May 31.

"For students in grades 1-4 who will attend day-stay school camps, visits to beaches will be organized, where they will have classes with instructors. A separate swimming training program is provided for 300 children who will be in the round-the-clock camp "Lastochka". For them, training in swimming will be organized on the "Kuba" beach by coaches-teachers of sports school No. 2," - the Sochi administration reports.

Recruitment of children for training in swimming in open water is underway within the framework of the "Swimming for Everyone" program. Such classes will be able to be attended by both young Sochi residents and guests of the resort; more than 12 thousand pupils of the city's sports schools will take part in them. Swimming lessons will be conducted by professional instructors and will be held from 8:00 to 10:00 on the beaches "Ogonek 1" in the Adler district, "Kristall" in the Khostinsky district, "Dagomys" in the Lazarevsky district and "Primorsky" and "Mayak" in the Central district. To enroll, you must write an application, provide a copy of the child's birth certificate and a medical certificate of the absence of contraindications to classes.
