The Cheburashka sculptures installed in the resort zone of Kislovodsk have gained wide popularity among tourists and locals. Since the appearance of eleven figures of the eared character in the city, photo sessions with them have become an integral part of visiting the resort zone.
"Since the beginning of this year, the 'Safe City' system has analyzed the number of visitors to photo zones and revealed that more than 50,000 people have taken pictures with the city sculptures," the Kislovodsk administration reported on its website.
These sculptures appeared at the popular resort for a reason - the filming of the Russian family comedy "Cheburashka" took place here. As previously reported by the city administration, tourists have nicknamed Karl Marx Street in Kislovodsk "Cheburashkinskaya" because the famous scene from the film was shot there.
Now guests of the city regularly take pictures and shoot videos on this street.
The premiere of the film "Cheburashka" took place on December 23, 2022, and on January 1, the film went into wide release in Russia. At that time, the film became the highest-grossing film in Russian cinema history.
