Canada reports record tourist arrivals for the third year in a row

According to the national statistics agency, 22.1 million travelers visited the Country of maple leaf in 2019, compared to 21.1 million a year earlier.  

In 2019, tourists who visited Canada spent a total of 105 billion Canadian dollars.

The bulk of tourist arrivals came from US citizens - 15 million.

As a tourist destination, Canada is also popular with the citizens of Australia, Germany, India, China, South Korea, Mexico, Great Britain, France and Japan. 

In terms of the growth of tourist arrivals to Canada in 2019, Mexico was the leader, with almost 500.000 visitors (+12.4%), and India - with almost 333.000 tourists.
