Booking.com to finance projects in the field of sustainable tourist accommodation

Booking.com announced the launch of the fourth Booking Booster program aimed at supporting responsible tourism.

This year, the leading online hotel booking service paid attention to the tourist infrastructure. The 2020 program will bring together startups, social players, non-profit organizations, and various accommodations that must offer solutions to provide more sustainable living services, Booking.com stated.

Participants will submit their proposals in September. The best projects will be able to receive grants from the company's fund for a total of 2.6 million euros. 

According to a survey conducted by Booking.com, 82% of its more than 4.000 partners around the world expect the company to cooperate in the field of sustainable tourism. At the same time, 87% of travelers named an important factor of ecological living during the trip.
