The competition will become part of the international festival "Bering Strait", which will be held in Chukotka on August 2-7.
The Beringian Games are competitions among representatives of the indigenous peoples of the Arctic. As part of the games, about 50 people will determine the strongest in seven northern disciplines, including triple jumps, stick pull and high kick with one foot.
In addition, the Bering Strait festival includes the business program "Arctic Travel Forum", as well as a tour expedition around the region. All events will also be dedicated to the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, which is celebrated on 9 August.
According to the Roscongress Foundation, tour operators and hospitality experts from all over the Russian Arctic will take part in the business program of the festival. Discussion participants will discuss key industry trends, best practices in organizing Arctic travel, and successful cases in promoting the regions of the Far North.
As part of one of the discussions in Anadyr, popular travel bloggers who have made more than a dozen interesting expeditions across the Arctic will meet and exchange views.
In addition, the Beringia-2022 Anniversary Sea Hunters Regatta will be held during the festival. These are team races on traditional Chukchi canoes among men's and women's teams.
A highlight of the Bering Strait festival will be a tour-expedition around Chukotka. Its goal is to show the brightest points of attraction for tourist Chukotka. The festival will end at the extreme eastern mainland point of Eurasia Cape Dezhnev, where the expedition members will plant the flags of the festival.
