The press service of the Ministry of Public Improvement of the Moscow Region reported that over the three summer months more than 23.6 million people visited the parks. This is 3.5 million more than in the same period last year.
Most people visited parks near Moscow in June. Their number was about 8.6 million. In July, over 7.8 million visitors visited the parks, and in August, almost 7.2 million residents and guests of the region.
The most visited park in the Moscow region is Pekhorka Park in the urban district of Balashikha. Over the summer, over 1.2 million people visited there. Other popular places include the Central Park of Culture and Leisure in Pushkino, Sestroretsky Park in the Klin urban district and Odintsovo Lazutina Park.
There are over 1,200 service facilities in the forested and park areas of the Moscow region. Visitors have access to cafes, non-stationary and mobile retail outlets, rental points and attractions. They also regularly host concerts, exhibitions, master classes, competitions, demonstration training, marathons and open-air film screenings.
