The festival "Atmosphere" will be held from 20 to 21 August on the lake in the homeland of Konstantin Tsiolkovsky - in the village of Izhevskoye, Spassky district, Ryazan region, the region's tourist information center reports on its website. The event is dedicated to the 165th anniversary of the founder of Russian scientific cosmonautics.
“The program of the festival events will be extensive and rich, first of all, amateur astronomy will be touched upon. Guests of the festival will be able to learn a lot about space and scientific astronomy, about the history of studying the movement of celestial bodies and the dreams of people from different eras about space flights. And yet, it will be possible to truly relax in nature near the shore of the ancient lake, ”the information center reports.
The organizers of the festival have carefully thought out leisure activities for guests - music, a space lecture hall, meetings with famous people in the field of astronomy, open-air cinema, animation for children, a large food court and craft market area, sup-surf and kayak rentals.
“For lovers of tents, a camping town will be organized where you can stay with a tent, cook food on a fire and, in the company of your friends, enjoy unique natural landscapes, fresh air and a clean starry sky without city light,” the message says.
The Atmosphere Festival is a new cultural project for the Ryazan region. Its goal is to popularize the ideas of space exploration, the foundation of which was laid by Tsiolkovsky, whose works were breakthrough for their time and an incentive for the emergence of a whole movement for the invention and development of rocket and space technology.
