The construction of a railway line from Simferopol Airport to the existing railway to Sevastopol is planned to be carried out by the Crimean authorities.
“It will most likely be an aeroexpress. There, in principle, we will have to work for 12-13 km to Simferopol - to dig into the existing railway line,” said the head of the republic, Sergei Aksyonov. According to him, agreements have already been reached on this issue with the Sevastopol authorities and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
The Crimean government will also consider the feasibility of the launching such an express train to Yevpatoria and the construction of a direct railway line from Kerch to Simferopol.
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to study the connection of the Simferopol airport and Anapa airport with the existing railway, as well as the construction of a bypass railway around the St. Kliment Inkerman Monastery.
