A unique interactive map of Pakistan created by a Dubai-based graphic designer, Assam Altaf, will help tourists to visit important attractions of the country.
The young expatriate has created a so-called map-encyclopaedia including in it at least 71 must see places, each with photos and locations. The map, according to him, will be especially helpful to overseas Pakistanis and foreign tourist who want to visit the country.
Altaf said that he was inspired by the tourist maps of various countries and especially that of Dubai. He added: «I started from the Pakistan China Border from the North of Pakistan and ended up on Gwadar City in the South of the country».
He also included all the religious, historical and cultural spots in this map.
Altaf also said that the first time he came to Dubai he found tourism in the emirate very productive in terms of development and this made him create a new map concerning Pakistan.
He is planning to run an online version of the map and to create an application in collaboration with the Pakistan Tourism Ministry to boost tourism in the country.
