The press service of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic (KRDV) reported that the future eco-park for active recreation has no analogues in the Far East. The commissioning of the project is scheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2025. Under an agreement with the KRDV, the investor will invest 352.1 million rubles in it.
The park will be located between two key infrastructure facilities of the city - the city park named after. Y. Gagarin and the ski base "Mountain Air". According to the idea of the creators, it will become a link between these objects and connect a chain of recreation areas of various types.
The authors of the project expect the park to have a minimal impact on the environment. The new space should become a point of attraction for both Sakhalin residents and tourists. High-quality service in the areas of tourism services and catering will allow the company to increase the tourist attractiveness of the island.
The eco-park will consist of six zones for accommodation and recreation of tourists. The theme park will host fairs, art exhibitions, light shows and theatrical performances. The camping area will include tent sites, wooden treehouses, a transparent geodesic dome, barbecue areas.
The active recreation area will include a zip-line station with a descent length of 360 meters, a climbing wall up to 10 meters high with an area of 250 square meters, a rope park with a total length of routes of 1000 meters, as well as swings, jumping nets and hammocks.
For lovers of secluded relaxation, walking paths with a length of 10 kilometers will be equipped. The new park will also have a contemplation zone - an observation deck that will allow you to observe all other areas of the facility and neighboring slopes.
