The 120-kilometer route will help relieve traffic. This was announced by the head of Sochi, Alexei Kopaigorodsky.
"Sochi is one of the longest cities in Russia. On the section of the federal road from Magri to the border with Abkhazia, we have a number of difficult sections where traffic jams regularly form," said the Head of Sochi, Aleksey Kopaigorodsky.
The project will be broken down into eight phases. The priority within the boundaries of Sochi is the construction of the Mamayka - Nizhnyaya Khobza section and the bypass of the Adler district from the Kurortny prospect to the airport. Additional measures are planned, including the construction of turning loops.
"The possibility of building a section of the highway from Khosta to the village of Golitsyno through the village of Krasnaya Volya is being studied. This project will help create an alternative bypass road from the center of Sochi to Krasnaya Polyana for residents and guests of the resort," the press service of the city administration said.
Currently, these projects are approaching the stage of investment justification. The design and survey work is scheduled for next year. It is possible that some of the work, including three reversal loops on the section from Kudepsta to the railway station in Adler, will be constructed earlier in order to partially relieve the line.
