A total of 20 million French residents will spend their Christmas holidays at sea or in the mountains. Due to anti-covid restrictions, many French people have chosen France as their vacation destination – the number of hotel bookings is approaching the figures in the years preceding the Covid-19 pandemic, Europe1 reported.
In addition to France, the French have chosen the Canary Islands, Cape Verde, Senegal, the UAE, the Dominican Republic or Mauritius as winter holiday destinations.
The main losers this year were European megacities, primarily Paris, where the absence of foreign tourists is still felt acutely.
Participants discussed the boundary between nature and ecotourism, whether mass visits to unique areas can remain safe, the responsibilities of investors, and how to prepare tourists for visiting specially protected natural areas.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Forum will be held at a high level, and that its results will contribute to the development of tourism in Russia and the expansion of humanitarian and business ties.
