The exposition "House of the Wild Horse" appeared in the new visitor center located on the site "Pre-Ural Steppe"
Orenburg reserve.
“The main part of the exposition is devoted to the project for the preservation of the Przewalski horse in Russia and the people without whom this project would not have been possible. Our exposition consists of three blocks: “Horse and Steppe”, “Horse and Man (Reserve Mission)”, “Przhevalsky Horse at the Reintroduction Center,” the Orenburg Reserve said on its website.
The design includes a lot of interactive elements that will be of interest to visitors of all ages.
“We invite everyone to visit our new visitor center and literally see with their own eyes every stage of the implementation of a unique project to preserve the Przewalski horse in Russia. The official opening of the visit center and exposition will take place in May 2023,” the reserve noted.
The creation of the "House of the Wild Horse" was created with the support of the "Revival of Nature" charity foundation, which has repeatedly helped the reserve.
The Orenburg State Nature Reserve was established in 1989. It includes such areas as "Talovskaya steppe", "Burtinskaya steppe", "Aytuarskaya steppe", "Ashchisaiskaya steppe", "Preduralskaya steppe". Steppes occupy more than 90% of the total area of the reserve. This area has a high biological diversity.
Since 2015, a project has been launched here to create a semi-free population of the Przewalski horse in Russia, and a center for the reintroduction of this animal has been opened.
The Orenburg Reserve, along with "Shaitan-Tau", is part of the Federal State Institution "Reserves of the Orenburg Region".
