This summer, 85 volunteers from different regions of Russia took part in the traditional Volunteer Weekend in the Bryansk Forest. According to the press service of the reserve, the last volunteer work of the season ended last weekend. It was attended by 17 eco-activists from Bryansk and Moscow.
The volunteers restored the components of several non-working looms for the assembly of one that works, they assembled display cases in the lecture hall of the fire-chemical station, and packed waste paper for transportation.
«Reconstruction of machine tools is not part of the immediate tasks of the reserve. But the cultural and natural heritage in such a developed region as the Bryansk region cannot be separated», - says Ekaterina Pilyutina, Deputy Director for Environmental Education and Tourism of the Bryansk Forest Reserve.
“We are grateful to all the volunteers who help the protected area!”
The reward for the volunteers this time was a visit to the Staroye Yamnoye cordon: almost none of the guys was there. In addition, especially lucky wildlife lovers managed to see a feeding of a black stork on the central estate of the reserve.
