The Vienna Tourism Bureau opened an account for the museums of the Austrian capital in the popular social network OnlyFans, which allows the publication of pictures with naked people.
The Vienna Tourism Authority's decision was a response to censorship by Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, which forbid any image of a naked body. For this reason, the advertising of works in the style of nude, exhibited in Vienna museums, was systematically blocked by the administration of social networks.
So, in 2019, Instagram decided that a picture by Peter Paul Rubens violates the standards of the social network. Similar decisions regarding the creations of other famous artists were made by Facebook.
The OnlyFans platform, which has gained popularity mainly due to adult content, allows users to subscribe to exclusive content offered by the creators.
According to the Vienna Tourism Bureau, the first subscribers of the "vienna's 18 + content" account on OnlyFans will receive discount and transport cards to visit the museums of the Austrian capital.
