In 2023, together with Russian Railways, it is planned to develop design and estimate documentation for the construction of a transport interchange hub in the central part of Pereslavl-Zalessky so that tourist trains from Moscow and Yaroslavl can arrive there. This was announced on its website by the Department of Tourism of the Yaroslavl Region with reference to the head of the region Mikhail Evraev.
“The transport hub is now located 2.5 kilometers from the city center. We agreed with Russian Railways to move it to the center so that it would be convenient for both residents and tourists. The company has already pledged money for this in its program - about 500 million rubles," the governor said in the message.
Evraev spoke about the development of Pereslavl-Zalessky as a tourist center during a “straight line” with residents on April 12, the department noted.
According to the governor, the city as a whole is waiting for big changes.
“Pereslavl-Zalessky is a pearl, you just need to make it beautiful,” he said.
