The implementation of the development of the tourist and recreational cluster "Geysers and Volcanoes of Kamchatka" will help increase the attendance of tourist sites in the region up to 93 thousand people a year, the press service of the government of the Kamchatka Territory reported.

Specialists in the development of the tourist and entertainment cluster (TRC) "Geysers and Volcanoes of Kamchatka" can help at least twice as much.

“Only nature conservation tourism should be developed in the cluster, because the preservation of natural areas is a priority, therefore our project is based on viable, extremely accurate calculations and high standards of environmental responsibility,” said the head of the expert group Rafilya Bakirova.

‘‘It is necessary to reduce the cost and diversify tours so that they are available to as many tourists as possible. And in order to increase the tourist flow, we propose to add the Klyuchevskoy natural park to the cluster and name it “Geysers and Volcanoes of Kamchatka” to make it more personalized”.

Experts also advise to move the entire infrastructure outside the protected areas in order to reduce the human impact on the environment. Guests will be offered helicopter excursions, as well as walking or water travel to the Valley of Geysers and the Uzon volcano caldera.
