A new tourist product is being actively developed in India - vaccination tours to Russia. According to the Times of India newspaper, the Calcutta agencies were the fastest to find their way - they will start selling packages this coming weekend for sightseeing visits to Moscow and St. Petersburg and meanwhile being vaccinated with Sputnik V.
According to Indian operators, they have received many requests lately for the so-called Sputnik Immunization Tour. Its cost will be from 220 to 240 thousand rupees (221 to 242 thousand rubles) per person. The package includes 24-day stays in 3-star hotels in Moscow and St. Petersburg, sightseeing and excursions to all major tourist destinations, flights and train fares, and local transportation for sightseeing. According to representatives of the Indian travel industry, the parity of the Russian ruble and the Indian rupee means that a rather long trip will not be as expensive as in some other European countries.
"Once the restrictions that are currently in place in Kolkata eases and the mood lifts, there will be many takers, particularly in the upper middle class families that have not had a vacation in a long time," Travel Agents Association of India chairman (east) Manav Soni was quoted as saying.
