A couple of tigers chased a tourist bus in central India for several minutes. The tourists reportedly violated the rules of conduct on a jungle safari. The incident occurred on the outskirts of Raipur, the capital of the state of Chhattisgarh, on February 14, and received publicity only thanks to a video taken by one of the tourists and posted on social networks.
According to representatives of the state forest department, when he saw two tigers, the driver stopped the bus, and one of the tourists went out to take a closer look at the striped animal. Seeing a man, the tiger rushed to him, the tourist managed to jump back in the bus, but the door could not be completely closed because of a window curtain that got stuck in the rails.
After a short pursuit of the bus, the tiger left it alone, while the second one tiger nearby all this time, but did not attack the vehicle.
It is noteworthy that a safari on the Raipur jungle on an area of 270 hectares is inhabited by 4 tigers, 7 lions and 5 bears.
After the incident the guide and driver were immediately dismissed. They had neither the right to stop the bus nor to allow tourists to leave it.
