New restrictions were introduced due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation. Since July 12, all the activities in the theaters, museums, libraries, cultural centers, concert and exhibition halls, educational institutions have been suspended in the republic. Previously, mass events in closed spaces, including weddings and commemorations, were banned.
Five more people have died in Abkhazia over the course of a day from the coronavirus. Since the beginning of the pandemic almost 19 thousand people have been infected with covid.
