Rostourism summed up the results of the competition, which was held for the second year together with the all-Russian architectural award ARCHIWOOD. According to the agency, this year the selection of applications was held in two categories - "The best hotel made of wood" and "The best prefabricated hotel made of wood."

Projects put into operation from 2017 to 2022 were considered. Of the 52 applications, 13 projects were shortlisted.

“From September 1 to September 13, a public online voting took place on the award website, which determined the “people's” winners in each of the two categories. In parallel, the selection was carried out by a jury consisting of leading Russian architects, and it was headed by the head of the Federal Tourism Agency Zarina Doguzova," the ministry said in a statement.

In the nomination "The best pre-fabricated hotel made of wood" according to the results of public voting, the winner became the glamping "White well" (Voronezh region), and the jury's choice fell on the project from the Tula region - the house on the trees "Lapochkino nest".

LES Art Resort (Moscow region) was recognized as the "Best Wooden Hotel" by popular vote, and the professional jury awarded the palm in this nomination to the A SCAPE project (Kaliningrad region).

A special prize was awarded to the We Lodge Hotel (Leningrad Region).

Rostourism also noted other hotels that were shortlisted - all of them are an "interesting mix of bold land development, wooden architecture and a unique tourist attraction."

Among them are projects from the Altai, Trans-Baikal, Kamchatka, and Krasnodar territories, Kostroma, Leningrad and Moscow regions, Suzdal.
