The press service of the national park "Land of the Leopard" announced the return of the male Far Eastern leopard Leo 91M from China to the Primorsky Krai. A few years ago, Chinese camera traps recorded him after a heavy lunch. Then the largest Chinese media published articles and notes about the discovery of a pregnant female leopard.

However, after checking the individual pattern on the skin with the help of computer programs, it was possible to find out that the photo shows a well-fed male. This was followed by a new wave of publications, including in the Russian press.

Six years later, the famous male was again recorded in the national park "Land of the Leopard". In fresh pictures, the predator again looks very well-fed. Scientists explained that an adult leopard is able to eat a large amount of food at a time – up to 20% of its body weight. In this state, he will be very hungry in at least a week.

It is possible to trace the history of Leo 91M in two countries at once thanks to the close cooperation of the Directorate of the Land of the Leopard Nature Reserves in Russia and the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park in China.

In the near future, it is planned to create the world's first cross-border reserve for the Far Eastern leopard and Amur tiger "Land of Big Cats". It will include Chinese and Russian national parks.
