The third EcoHouse in Yamal was opened in Noyabrsk. This is a large-scale project aimed at improving environmental culture. Here city residents will be able to bring recycled materials, which will be sent for processing. This was reported by the portal of the government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
“The EcoHouse will not only collect recyclable materials. Here, employees will give free lectures on environmental topics, organize excursions and creative master classes. In addition, residents of Noyabrsk will be able to take part in recycling unnecessary plastic. From ordinary drink caps they will be asked to make bases for notepads, hangers, badges and keychains with images of animals,” the message says.
In addition, EcoHouse will serve as a headquarters for local environmentalists and eco-volunteers.
The first EcoHouse in Yamal was opened in December 2022 in Salekhard, and in March 2023 a similar facility appeared in Novy Urengoy. Over nine months, EcoHouses in Yamal were visited by almost 14 thousand people.
Since the opening of both sites, Yamal residents have recycled about 19 tons of secondary raw materials and almost one ton of batteries.
