On September 23, at an altitude of more than 1,800 meters, the first snow cover formed in the Caucasus mountains, subzero temperatures are stably recorded at night, which, together with precipitation, make the tourist routes unsafe.
"The first trails of the Caucasian nature reserve will be closed from October 4. This applies to routes No. 8 «Through the Aishkha pass to the Black Sea» and partly No. 8a «Tract Bear Gate - Camp Kholodny» in the section from Bzerpinsky cornice to Kholodny camp," the Caucasian reserve said.
On other routes, the summer tourist season will end on 15 October. Routes No. 30A and No. 30B, which start from the Lagonaki checkpoint, will operate only in an excursion format, from the Lagonaki checkpoint to the 2nd observation deck.
"After the closing date, it will be possible to purchase a pass to partially open routes No. 8a, 30A, 30B only at the ticket offices of the reserve, or from partner companies," the reserve noted.
The summer tourist season in the Caucasian Reserve started on June 10. This year, nine routes for multi-day hikes were available for tourists.
