The largest Russian parade of rare vehicles will take place in the center of St. Petersburg on May 18. The event will take place as part of the SPbTransportFest festival.
"Traditionally, the participants of the parade are samples of historical equipment - buses, trolleybuses, trams, motorcycles, cars and trucks, special equipment - from private collections and museums of the regions of Russia and foreign countries," the festival website says.
Dozens of rarities will follow Nevsky Prospekt, and then open their doors to everyone on Engineering Street, where an exhibition of retrotransport will be held.
"This year, the parade will gather 321 units of equipment – according to the number of years performed in St. Petersburg. For the first time, the participants of the parade will be: Jelcz 120M city buses, VMZ-4252 Olympus and the unique LAZ-695N bus," the organizers of the festival said.
SPbTransportFest ("TransportFest") will be held from May 16 to 18 as part of the celebration of the Founding Day of St. Petersburg.
In addition to the retro parade, the festival program included an international competition of professional skills of bus drivers, an exhibition of innovative equipment, a music competition, and a concert on the Manezhnaya Square of the city on the Neva River.
