The press service of the administration of Pyatigorsk reported that the tour "More than a trip" will be held from September 28 to October 2. Its participants will summarize the results of the summer tourist season and discuss the results of the project "Development of hiking tourism". Thanks to this project, the infrastructure of tourist walking routes is being updated and their accessibility is increasing.
It is expected that 600 children and teenagers – activists of the "Movement of the First", as well as 400 experienced and novice travelers, tour guides, representatives of the industry, public organizations and regional authorities will take part in the event.
"At Komsomolskaya Polyana, the organizers have provided intellectual activities, outdoor games and much more for the participants of the "Movement of the First". For example, the guys will become students of a real "School of Tourism" and will learn from their older comrades – industry experts and experienced travelers," the message says.
In addition, master classes on terrain orientation, driving tactics along the forest route and working with equipment will be held as part of the tour. Children will learn how to set up tents and knit knots, navigate by the stars and observe wildlife. They will also be told about what ecological monitoring of trails is.
A rich program awaits tour guides. At the design sessions with the participation of well-known historians, scientific, public and cultural figures, they will design methodological materials and passports of excursions that will be used in the work at the exhibition "Russia".
More than 400 participants of the tour will climb the mountain peaks of Beshtau and Mashuk. And at the closing ceremony of the forum, the youth will adopt the Code of the Young Tourist.
