In Russia, the professional standard "Specialist in the field of conservation" is being developed. This was announced on its website by the Roszapovedcenter of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation.
"This professional standard will define modern requirements for the knowledge, skills and experience of specialists in the protected area, which will increase the effectiveness of the selection of applicants for employment in environmental institutions," the message says.
The document will create a legal methodological basis for targeted training of personnel for the reserve system on the basis of higher, secondary special and additional professional education, the development and implementation of specialized educational programs in the direction of "Reserve business".
The work on the document is aimed at forming a national system of professional qualifications in the protected area. We are talking about the standardization of professional activities, first of all, of employees of the FSBI, subordinate to the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia and managers of specially protected natural territories.
The developers of the professional standard project are Roszapovedcenter, the Institute of Ecology and Nature Management of Kazan Federal University and the Curonian Spit National Park.
Currently, there is a public discussion of the draft professional standard. The Ministry of Natural Resources receives proposals from protected areas, specialized universities, professional associations and organizations, expert councils.
"All recommendations will be carefully studied and, if possible, taken into account.
