An unusual tourist route with a length of about 300 m has appeared in the Caucasian Reserve on the territory of the Laura Ecocenter.
“With the help of interactive elements and objects on the trail, all guests of the ecocenter can use their senses, learn to observe nature. And these skills will definitely come in handy when visiting the tourist routes of the reserve,” says the institution’s website says.
The trail is accessible to visitors with limited mobility. All objects on the route are made of larch, they are aimed at making guests feel the nature.
“For example, the “Ear of the Mountains” allows you to hear the sounds of the surrounding nature. The forest xylophone makes it possible to touch natural surfaces. Or a tactile path where you can literally feel the different textures of natural materials. There is also a zone for relaxation and meditation on the trail,” the Caucasian Reserve reports.
According to its employees, such an approach is now necessary, since more than 60% of the world's population lives in cities, indoors, where the place of plants is given to glass, concrete, and metal.
“A person is accustomed to talk about nature as about the surrounding world, separating himself and her, breaking the natural connection. That is why many guests of the reserve are afraid to go on trails: the forest frightens them with its sounds, secrets, the image of its inhabitants seems hostile.
The trail of feelings was created so that in a familiar environment everyone could tune in to nature, turn on all the senses, awaken the joy of contemplation and immersion in the living world, of which it is a part," the reserve notes.
According to the director of the institution Sergey Shevelev, the trail was created "so that people feel what bark, pebbles, pebbles are, so that feelings pass through us and we remember it."
