VDNKh has developed a new thematic route for self-guided walks around the exhibition - “Family Walk 2.0”. It combined six locations, which will take about four hours to visit.
“To start a walk, you need to follow the link and select the starting point from which you plan to start moving along the route. Children and their parents are invited to go on rides in Orion Park, visit playgrounds, the Soyuzmultpark multimedia center and the City Farm, and take a walk along the new urban path “Mobius Strip,” says a message on the VDNKh website.
In Orion Park you can choose the most extreme, the most nostalgic or the most frightening attraction, or try them all at once.
The second location of the route is the Cosmos children's playground next to the interactive museum of the Buran spacecraft. Here children will be able to study play models of spacecraft, test an artificial Earth satellite, a capsule descent vehicle and a lunar rover on the lunar surface.
At Soyuzmultpark you can immerse yourself in the animated world, meet your favorite Soyuzmulfilm characters and bring them to life. There, guests will find 18 interactive attractions, the latest technologies and themed photo zones.
The next point on the route is the “Möbius Strip”, a new urban path with decorative metal enclosing structures. Its height reaches eight meters, and the walking path is raised by 6.9 meters. The structure is surrounded by the Garden of the Five Senses.
At the City Farm, walkers along the route will meet alpacas, goats, cows, sheep, rabbits, nutria, raccoons, deer, donkeys, peacocks, geese and ducks. There are also entertainment and educational events held there.
On the shore of the 3rd Kamensky Pond, guests will find a family area for games and relaxation. There is a beach nearby with comfortable sun loungers and a canopy.
“On the official VDNKh website, about 15 virtual guides are now available for the convenience of visitors. The first routes were developed in 2019, since then the Exhibition regularly updates their list and offers new ideas for walking. Using thematic routes, you can plan your leisure time at the Exhibition depending on your interests, company and amount of free time. For example, devote a whole day to studying bright photo locations, devote time to sports, or walk with your significant other through the most picturesque places of the Exhibition,” the message notes.
